Services / Design / Custom Font Design
A typeface only your brand owns.
Off-the-shelf fonts are shared by every competitor who paid the same licence. We design original brand fonts and custom typefaces — often extending the DNA of your logo into a working family — then ship desktop and webfont files your team can actually deploy.
What You Get
Concrete deliverables, not vague promises.
An original display or brand typeface drawn around your mark, voice and use cases
Character set scoped to what you need — Latin basics through extended punctuation and brand glyphs
Desktop and webfont formats (OTF/TTF + WOFF2) with spacing, kerning and basic OpenType features
Usage notes so marketing and product teams apply the font consistently across web, apps and print
How We Work
Our process for custom font design.
01
Brief & letter DNA
We study your mark, competitors and surfaces — web, packaging, UI — then lock the letter DNA that should carry through every glyph.
02
Proofs & character set
Key characters and word tests first, then the agreed alphabet, numerals and punctuation refined across real brand copy.
03
Font production & handoff
Spacing, kerning and formats for desktop and web, plus short usage guidance so the typeface stays consistent after launch.
Is This You?
Signs it’s time for custom font design.
Your logo has distinctive letterforms but body and headline type still look generic
You're licensing a popular face that competitors already use across the category
You need a webfont that matches your mark — not a close-enough free alternative
Case Study
Proof on a live brand.

SkyQ Website — Akash Font
Akash — a custom brand typeface drawn from SkyQ’s logo characters and shipped as a full webfont family across the skyq.tech site, from Thin to Black with italics.
We treated our own site the way we treat client brands: the mark’s letter DNA became a working font. Akash now carries headlines, orbit labels and OG graphics — one voice from logo to live type.
FAQ
Common questions about custom font design.
Is this different from picking a font and customising the logo?
Yes. Logo lettering is a fixed wordmark. Custom font design produces a working typeface — characters you can type — so headlines, UI and campaigns stay on-brand without redrawing every line.
Do we own the font when the project ends?
Yes. Licensing and exclusivity are agreed up front. For bespoke commissions you receive the font files and the right to use them across your brand — not a subscription to a shared retail face.
How long does a custom font typically take?
A focused display face or logo-derived family often runs 4–10 weeks depending on character count, weights and webfont production. We share early proofs so the direction is locked before full production.
